A view of the stand. We came in the afternoon, heard there will be people waiting in lines to buy mushyaki in the evenings.
It's our first time trying vegetarian takoyakis (Mushyaki=mushroom+takoyaki).
The stand had moved for a few times, so it took us some time finding its current address (They're now located in Shilin Night Market).
Their menu. The mushyaki comes in three flavors, but the on different is the sauce on its top. Their stuffings are all the same.
Clerks hand-making those muskyakis. IT takes some time for the stuffings to be cooked.
Freshly made mushyaki ready to serve! They use traditional boat-shaped boxes as containers, but also prodive paper boxes for take out options.
For different flaovrs, they add different sauces and poders.
Looks pretty decent. The one you see is the mixed flavor. From left to right: Curry, Classic and Oolong tea flavor.
Let's have a taste right away!
They used orgainc king oyster mushroom as replacement of tako (octopus), the outer skin was crispy and stuffings were also freshly made.
I recommand the Oolong tea flavor, which was really special. But for those who are used to Japanese-type takoyaki, you may consider it a little bland and better enjoy the snack with the sauces.
Even though mushrooms never taste like real octopus, it's still nice to see there are more and more varities of different vegetarian foods for people to choose nowadays.
